Hi Ya'll
My name is Bridgette. I am a woman who prides herself in having Southern Roots and Northern Boots. I am also a cancer survivor. My journey began with a diagnosis of ovarian cancer in March of 2020. Surgery, chemo and COVID made up most of that year. Since then, I have been on a journey of recovery and self-discovery that will continue throughout my lifetime. I am blessed to be cancer free and to have met my journey women, Carmen, Jennie, Renee, Lili, Alecia and Lauren along the way. These relationships are what inspired The Journey Woman Project. This project exists so that each person's story can offer inspiration, comfort and hope to a fellow journey woman when they need it most.
As you follow along with the stories posted in the blog know that some are recently written and some are from past moments along this journey. Regardless of time the words and meaning remain the same. I hope that among the words you find a spark of inspiration, glimmers of hope and an overwhelming sense of love and support.
